Woolgoolga is home to the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple, an architectural landmark and a popular attraction. The large white temple was built by the town’s Sikh community, whose ancestors travelled to this area around the time of Australian Federation in 1901. The Temple is open to the public most days
Locally known as the "Missing Piece of Paradise", WOOLGOOLGA - population 5920 Woopi (as it is affectionately know to the locals) is highly regarded for it's fine beaches, good surfing, varied fishing, and bush walks.
